Swallowing

Dysphagia is the medical term for difficulty swallowing, which can occur due to problems in the mouth, throat, or esophagus. It can cause pain, coughing, choking and aspiration, or the sensation of food being stuck, and may result from neurological conditions, structural abnormalities, or other underlying health issues.
