Dr. Casellas was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He proudly continues a family tradition as the third generation of physicians. His educational journey began at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia where he completed his college degree in Chemistry and Health Sciences graduating Magna Cum Laude. He pursued his medical degree at Universidad Central Caribe in Puerto Rico, where he completed medical school after becoming a member of the distinguished national medical honor society- Alpha Omega Alpha, and graduating as class Valedictorian. He was then accepted into the Otolaryngology program at the esteemed University of Rochester Medical Center in New York. Here he obtained rigorous and comprehensive training in all aspects of ENT, including head and neck surgery, laryngology, rhinology, sleep surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, otology, and facial plastic surgery.
Following his residency, Dr. Casellas sought to refine his expertise even further in laryngology through specialized training at the prestigious University of Miami Voice Center, under the mentorship of the renowned physician, Dr. David E. Rosow. During his tenure, Dr. Casellas had the privilege of collaborating with numerous professional voice users and performing artists, while also enhancing his skills in managing complex laryngeal disorders related to voice, swallowing, and upper airway function.
Dr. Casellas has contributed to multiple scientific articles published in Otolaryngology journals. His dedication to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes underscores his commitment to excellence.
